Take 12
This is my first all digital layout! I used a Take 12 template plus free papers and elements available from Persnickety Press. Even though this is a simpler style than I usually do for my layouts, I like that once I got the hand of placing items within PSE, it came together pretty quickly.

I am a new subscriber to Lain's Scrap Happy membership, and one of the perks is that I get to participate in her Layout a day challenge for FREE! I think I may be biting off more than I can chew by doing both Take 12 and LOAD, but I've determined that I want to have more finished scrapbook pages, even if they are of a more simple style than I usually do, so with that said, what is my strategy? Well, I did purchase the Take 12 inspiration kit and templates to help me with Take 12. I've also taken advantage of Melissa Shanahan's digital templates, downloaded digital freebies from Persnickety Press and signed up for The Digi Game which gives me free digital goodies each month. That should take care of the digital side! And trust me, I have plenty of real paper etc - enough to last years! I've been a kit club member of Cocoa Daisy for more than 6 months, and have plenty of other kits and supplies.

| Advent - Epiphany
This was the first year I attempted to create a holiday specific scrapbook. I was inspired by Noelle Hyman, Shimelle Lane, and of course, Stacy Julian to attempt it. I knew because of my schedule that I likely wouldn't have photos for every day, but I was ok with that and figured that Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas would fill in the gaps. Christmas is a very special and sacred time in our family. As Christians, we really try to focus on the Biblical meaning of the season. I did purchase some specific papers and supplies (I had avoided themed papers for SO long - especially Christmas! I just can't get into cutesy!) I had decided to do an 8 1/2 x 11 book and utilize a variety of photo page sizes, including full, 4 x 6, 3 1/2 x 5, as well as baseball card holders. I had a good start, but then multiple tragedies struck my family; first my mom passed away suddenly on Dec. 7, and then my grandmother passed away 3 weeks later. I'm still working on the album and I'm not sure when, or if, it will get finished, but I do know that I have enjoyed working on it, finding it very therapeutic during this time of sorrow.
